Daily Inspiration: Meet Ryan Freeland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Freeland.

Hi Ryan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started getting into videography because I’ve always enjoyed creating videos and bringing ideas to life. What started as a hobby gradually turned into something I wanted to pursue seriously. I began creating content, reaching out to brands, and learning how to turn my creativity into a business.

Over time, I started landing paid brand deals and working with companies to create content for their products. I quickly grew my account and leveled up my videos then my videos started reaching millions of people and large brands. Since then, I’ve continued improving my skills, building relationships with brands, and finding new opportunities.

My motto is quality over quantity. I believe in putting time, creativity, and attention to detail into every project rather than rushing to produce more content. I want every video I create to have a purpose, tell a story, and reflect the effort I put into my work.
I’m currently a college freshman, balancing school while growing my videography business. My goal is to keep pushing myself creatively, work with bigger brands, and growing my skills day by day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting a videography business at a young age comes with a lot of challenges, especially when it comes to finding clients and proving your value to brands. There have been times when opportunities didn’t work out or I had to put in hours of work without knowing if it would pay off. Balancing school with running my business has also been challenging. However, I’ve learned that consistency and time management are key. Every setback has taught me something new, and I’ve learned to trust the process, focus on improving my skills, and stick to the goal.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in cinematic videography, travel content, and visual storytelling. I enjoy capturing places and experiences in a unique and visually appealing way, using creative camera angles, lighting, and editing to bring my ideas to life. Some of my favorite experiences have been capturing content in places like Hawaii and New York City, where I can challenge myself creatively and explore new perspectives.

What I’m most proud of is being able to turn my passion into a business while still being in college. Videography has given me opportunities to travel, meet new people, and see the world differently. What sets me apart is my creative vision and attention to detail. I always try to make my work stand out visually and create something that feels different from what people are used to seeing.

Any big plans?
My biggest goal for the future is to continue growing as a videographer and travel to more places to capture unique content. I want to keep improving my skills, take on bigger creative projects, and eventually turn videography into a full time career. I’m looking forward to traveling to new cities, and finding opportunities that push me outside my comfort zone. I also want to work with more people, explore different styles of filmmaking, and continue developing my own creative style. I’m excited to see how far I can take this passion and where it leads me.
