Today we’d like to introduce you to Roy Hart, Jr..
Hi Roy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have worked in IT for 30 years and wanted to retire or at a minimum slow down. The opportunity came up to partner with Justin Hudson and invest in Birdies Indoor Golf. After discussing with Justin I couldn’t wait to join and help create a fun, family friendly environment for golfers of all skill levels. We call it the “House That Justin Built”. Joining the Birdies team has truly been a blessing in my life.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Oh there have been some struggles. Running your own business is very challenging coming from the corporate environment for so many years. The struggles have brought Justin and I closer together and truly made us family.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Our business motto is “Where Technology and Tradition come together to create lasting memories”. We have over 2000 golf courses you can play and many other games to enjoy. We try to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere were everyone can come and enjoy. Members become friends and part of the B.I.G. family. We have 4 public golf bays and a private bay available for special events, birthday parties, etc.
How do you think about luck?
I don’t necessarily believe in luck. Believe being of service and doing the right things will bear fruit.
Pricing:
- $15 per hour, per person (max price $50/hr), per bay
- VIP (private bay) Bay rents for $75/hr
- $50/month membership allows 2 hours of play per day
- $100/month membership for VIP access and 7x24x365 access
