Daily Inspiration: Meet Leanna Mazzeffe and Colette Ferrara

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leanna Mazzeffe and Colette Ferrara.

Hi Leanna and Colette, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We are Leanna and Colette! Together we make LC Creative Media. We have been lifelong friends – we attended grade school, high school, and college together! To no surprise, we joined the same sorority at Northwest Missouri State University in 2014. Come 2017, we were tasked to make our sorority recruitment video. The two of us had too much fun making the video and thought… maybe we should make a business out of this. Sure enough, shortly after the video was released someone messaged us and said “Hey, will you film my wedding?!” Even with little experience, we were eager to do it and replied with “ABSOLUTELY!” This year, we will have filmed nearly 40 weddings for some amazing couples and we have been blessed to share in their big days.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
With any business, the initial struggle is “where do we begin’… We had minimal camera equipment, lack of experience, and no clients. But our strategy has always been to “just say yes, and we will find a way!”

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
LC Creative Media specializes in wedding videography! But we like to think we specialize in people and building a connection with them. It takes a lot of trust for someone to hire you to capture the biggest day of their life. Over the years, we have always been known for bringing the fun to any event and we have translated that into our wedding videography business – that’s what sets us apart from the others.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
If you’re reading this and you’re contemplating if you want a wedding video… just do it! We promise you, nobody has ever regretted hiring a wedding videographer BUT they have regretted NOT hiring a wedding videographer. And that’s a fact.
