Hi Jovan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Jovan Franklin, and I am a pageant and branding consultant here in the Midwest. I have been apart of the pageant industry since I was 18 years old. Being in the world of pageantry taught me how to be confident by engaging in public speaking events, representation in front of an audience, and also being involved in my community. After 14.5 years of corporate America, I decided to step into the full time world of entrepreneurship and take on J. Nicole Consulting full time, and provide a safe space for women to develop their skills in both pageantry and modeling. I provide my clients with Interview techniques, walking, styling, and social media branding to prep them for their state or national competitions and runway shows, I also offer many other ways to develop their best self in this industry which allows them to truly build their confidence for life skills they need. My clientele starts as young as 4 years old all the way to adults. I have been blessed to extend my services to over 80 women in the last 6 months offering workshops, in person sessions and also virtual as well. My reach takes me from the west coast, to the south, and all the way to the east. I have no doubt that my business will truly continue to grow because the world needs more “Glow Getters!”

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The world of pageantry is evolving and isn’t the same as it use to be. One thing that has truly allowed me to grow is my constant development of staying present and engaging my audience. Social media allows people to truly see what I offer and I see nothing but continued growth.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a pageant and branding consulting specializing in interview, walking, styling, social media, and resume building. What sets me apart is being able to adapt to different age groups and not being afraid to take on a beginner because we all start somewhere. I’m truly proud of the growth I’ve seen in the last year start at only 12 clients with over 80 all around the globe and even internationally. I offer in person sessions and also virtual for those who can’t get to me.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Being someone who comes from the world of broadcasting journalism it’s allowed for this transition to be easier because being infront of an audience and also learning how to structure my own social media has been a plus. Your viewers want to see what you’re doing and who you work with and that’s one thing I can provide.
