Daily Inspiration: Meet Jessica McDaniel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica McDaniel

Hi Jessica, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up I always found myself collecting photos all around me. I had a passion for photography and I loved the idea of creating a memory that lasts forever. My mother didn’t take a lot of pictures of us growing up, so the ones I did find I cherished. I realized how quick time flies and I never wanted to miss a special moment. I started in photography by taking pictures my children, family and close friends. They kept telling how good I am and how I would be great at making this a real life business. I was so nervous at first to take that leap but I felt the Lord leading me into a new chapter of life and the moment was now or never. I am here to bring the love of Christ through my photography and also making it affordable for families.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This road has not been easy at all. After 4 months into my business I became pregnant with my 3rd child and it was pretty rough, I had complications with my heart and multiple other issues. After having my son, I decided to make my photography a full time career and quitting my 9 to 5, that was so scary at first. I now certainly do not regret taking that leap of faith.

My most recent challenge was on the 1st of August. My children and I were involved in a car accident. We were t-boned by a large truck, who ran through an intersection and completely totaled my car. By the grace of God we all came out of the accident alive. But this led me into physical therapy for over 2 months and I am now trying correct some nerve damage and strength my body again. Healing takes times but I am grateful for life and all that I can still do with those that I love.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
