Daily Inspiration: Meet Exurt Beatz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Exurt Beatz.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In high school, I started writing poems that later evolved into song lyrics. Shortly after high school, I got in contact with Rapper/Producer in my hometown Stockton California who went by the name of Originality. He helped me record my 1st couple songs.

After working with him, I got in contact with Rapper/Battle Rapper Okwerdz of Stockton and began recording more music at his studio. Around 03 /04 I started making my own beats with FL Studio 4.1 and began my process of becoming a producer.

In 2011, I began focusing more on producing than making actual songs and created the moniker “ExurtBeatz” and the slogan “ExurtBeatz BABY!!!”. Since then, have been working on my craft.

Due to my positive vibes and strong work ethic, I have acquired many great contacts.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. Struggles along the way were me just living and enjoying my life and creating experiences. I started music as a teenager and I am now an adult married man with 2 beautiful children…

Obstacles for me were, learning how to be a Father when I didn’t have one around, learning how to become a husband, learning and keeping up the ever changing sound of music as well as creating my own sound within that… All of this and much more were struggles but with faith in God and consistency, I continue on my path.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Producer/Artist that runs a website “ExurtBeatz.com” that provides quality production such as custom instrumentals of many genres, sampled instrumentals as well as features such as hooks, verses and signature vocal tags.

I specialize in creativity, hard work and the ability to adapt quickly. I believe I’m known for my quick response time. I love to collab with other artists as it opens us both up to so many other ideas, techniques and strategies either artist may not be currently using.

I am most proud of my current progress and growth in my Artistry. During lockdowns in 2020, I began writing parody songs with a comedic covid twist strictly as a venting tool. I ended up with a mixtape which us available for free DL on my YouTube channel.

What sets me apart from others is I have the ability to switch genres with my music. I dont put limits on my abilities. I’m constantly practicing and eager to learn more.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality and characteristics I feel are most important to my success would be my consistency, my focus on my next goal and being open to listen to all criticism and feedback without emotions involved and have the ability to learn from every experience.
