Daily Inspiration: Meet Evgenia Friesen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evgenia Friesen.

Hi Evgenia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My story started many years ago. I’m originally from Kyrgyzstan, where I was born and raised. Although this country is really beautiful, it’s also very criminal. This is why my family wanted to leave the country.

So they saved money and from one day to the next we moved to Germany. (2010) In addition to the great education, Germany has no limits when it comes to opportunities, be it for work, turning a hobby into a dream job, or simply to travel around the world. That’s why I decided to do a job that I love (beautician) and then move away from Germany and travel until I can’t.

Coincidentally, I also started modeling a few years ago, which was also my dream. I got to know a lot of people and I’m really grateful for that. After graduating from my cosmetics academy at the end of this year, I decided to move to America and became an AuPair here. I’m the meantime I have also started modeling here and to expand my acquaintances. I hope that I can make something big out of my hobby.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The greatest difficulty in getting here was definitely the Covid because it made it difficult for me to get my visa.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
While I’m living in America, I don’t do my real job, I do an au pair and combine that with modeling. After taking the children to school, I drive into town and meet the photographers. After the shooting, I drive straight to school and pick up the children. Actually, nothing special but I love it. “Do the little things right to reach the big goals.” – Tom Izzo.

And I enjoy the little things!

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking?
In my opinion: The biggest risk is not taking any risk! You can’t be successful in business without taking risks. Life is far too short to live too cautiously. If I wouldn’t take any risks in life, I wouldn’t be here in the states now.
