Today we’d like to introduce you to Deibys (D) Oberlechner.
Hi, Deibys (D). We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today. Can you start by introducing yourself?
I grew up with nothing in South America Colombia. I went From eating out of trash cans to being adopted at the age of 14, I found the most fantastic mother I could ever have. To this day, I owe her everything, including my life. Photography was her passion, and after she passed away, I embraced it as my own. I wanted to take my passion further and started a photo booth business.
During the day, I work as a real estate photographer. However, this year, I decided to seek more from life and began my business in the hope of capturing memories at various events that will last forever. On my website, I added a column specifically dedicated to thanking the person who brought me to where I am today – my mom, Ralene Oberlechner. Without her support, I would not be where I am now, and OBPhotoboothkc would have never been born.
Although the business is just about a month old, I hope OBPHOTOBOOTHKC can reach everyone who loves sharing memories as much as I do.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
In my previous paragraph, nothing has ever been smooth for me, but it’s what I do to overcome those bumpy roads, and if I didn’t have support from especially my wife, I don’t know where I would be now.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
Well, as you know, I’m a real estate photographer and I’ve pursued photography for years now and I’ve never looked back on photography. growing up and having a mom that took 1000 pictures a day assured the career path I was going to take. Of course I am currently just starting out as a Photo Booth owner and it has been amazing. Ive had several events that have been an amazing experience and I really hope I can continue to grow my business.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
There’s only one thing I would say to everybody else that wants to pursue their dreams ask for help don’t do everything yourself unless you have to. I wanna be the person that people will come to ask for advice and not be turned down because they cannot afford to pay.
Because unlike other successful people that have more than I do, when it comes to asking these more successful people for help the only thing they think about is money or only if you can afford their time, and that is the person I will not strive to be when I am more successful in my future.
