Daily Inspiration: Meet Danye Hudson-Miller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danye Hudson-Miller.

Danye Hudson-Miller

Hi Danye, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started off rapping in school with friends. But before that, I felt like music was my calling, my Gift from God. I always picked up musical instruments and taught myself, and I played piano in church from childhood. Then as my passion for music grew, I took classes and began producing my music. People noticed I was good at what I loved doing; the rest is history. My mission has always been to have a record label where artists can fully express themselves, less the standard industry pressures. Nowadays, it’s about putting on fake popcorn bubble gum rappers. For me, it’s not just about putting rappers on; it’s about ensuring quality lyrical content.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest struggle so far has been getting others to believe in themselves as much as I do. You can see the potential in someone, but if they can’t see their greatness, they won’t give the required effort.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an artist, CEO/Producer. I’m proud of and best known for my intentional lyricism. Instead of expletives, I use my lyrics to paint a vivid picture that gives you the feeling without having to say it. What sets me apart is my want for everyone around me to prosper, as much as I. Giving back and opening doors for others that would otherwise be closed has always been my mission. Making sure everybody eats and gets fair splits during collaboration. That’s why the Escalators Ambassador Program was formed. It’s a way where even fans can get involved! They can get D.O.P.E. Man booked in their city and get paid up to $1250! We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking.
Regarding risks, I met someone who told me they didn’t make their first million dollars until they went all in. They told me this after they asked what I did for a living and as a side gig. Risk is part of the reward. The herd mentality is to live with low pressure and no risk. But there is no winning without the risk of losing. So if you’re unwilling to risk it all, you might as well not even try. Have I risked it all? Yes. Have I won? Yes. Have I lost it all? Yes. Have I got it all back again? Yes, It’s all risks. Sometimes you might have to walk away from something or people because you know the risks. However, passion outweighs the risk, and when you are passionate, there is nothing you won’t go through to get where you need to be.
