Hi Colby, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

Hi Voyage KC! I am a 37 year old, Social Media Creator, Dog Sitter and Wife. Living my very best child free life. As a millennial woman I feel that it is important to share that! My 30’s have been transformative and I believe I wouldn’t be able to live as freely as I do if I would have had children.
I am a huge advocate for living life on your own terms! I feel just like the typical girl next door, to me my life isn’t interesting at all. I’ve always been the girl to document her life through pictures and social media way before the age of content creators. I fell in love with the thought of full time content creation on TikTok because that was the only platform where I could post authentically! I could be myself 100% and connect / build a community with complete strangers! The personal interaction is one of my favorite parts about it! I feel like I have besties all over the country! Hitting 1,000 followers was a milestone for me and I’m truly just enjoying the ride! I’m so grateful that 1,000+ people want to see my posts or connect with me! I’m going to keep it fun! I love eating good food, trying new restaurants, dilly dallying and traveling, so why not document and share! I am grateful for the opportunities social media has given me! I was invited to my first Creator event in November of 2025, I’ve had a few Viral food review videos, I’m growing my dog sitting clientele, I was asked to share my story in Voyage KC Magazine & I get to build a community of people who see me for me!
As for Dog Sitting my sister believe it or not had a dog sitting business first. She switched gears and became a full time nanny so I took over one of her clients and decided to grow my own dog sitting business.
Currently, I am in love with my life! I prayed for the freedom / flexibility I have now. I am so grateful to be doing this life with my husband, he has supported me through all my up and downs! I love him and the life that we live!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth road, what is that? I look back on my journey and I am so grateful for it all, the highs and the lows. I’d say since 2019 I kept telling myself there was more to this life than working for corporations that don’t value you and paying bills. I was searching for my purpose! I wanted balance, time freedom and flexibility with my days!
I have worn so many hats and done so many things. I was a program and entertainment director for senior living communities, I was a CNA at Children’s Mercy, I was a leasing agent and I even tried multilevel marketing …. I’m telling you your girl has done a lot!
At one point I was working in a cubicle with two monitors calling people to get invoices paid, but yet I still don’t have a clue what I was really doing! I WAS MISERABLE, that’s what I knew in my hearts of hearts and something needed to change!
Well in 2021 things in fact did change! (Is this a safe space?) I still openly don’t talk about this often. I was working in senior living and it was a time where companies were enforcing a particular vaccination policy, well that did not align with me so I was let go from the
Company. I was proud of myself for doing what was best for me, but I also held it in due to the judgement of others! I had no clue what was in store for me after being laid off. Can I be honest, looking back that was one of the best times of my life I cashed in some of my 401K, became a Door dash delivery driver and took a year off from your typical 9-5 job! I was finally experiencing some of the things I had been searching for, Flexibility! Time freedom! I finally felt like I was thriving vs existing.
Fast forward to now I am really thriving growing my Dog Sitting Business & being a content creator.

I am Kansas City’s favorite local Dog Sitter! (Self proclaimed! 😁)
I specialize in pop in visits for potty breaks, playtime or walks. I also offer Overnight stays and house sitting.

The meet and greet is a 30 minute meeting where I come to your home to meet you and your pets, learn about them and their routines and ensure that we are the perfect match for each other! Then we can talk in detail about booking my services! I am accepting new clients and look forward to meeting you soon!
I am most proud of myself for trusting the process and meeting the universe half way! Stepping out on faith and deciding to put myself out there! I am capable of owning a successful Dog Sitting business and being a content creator!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Family Vacations! We would go to Tan Tar A, Branson or to visit family in a small town called Green City Missouri for the Fourth of July! I loved Playing Bingo and eating fresh strawberries and ice cream on a warm summer night being surrounded by my family!
