Daily Inspiration: Meet Briana Williams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Williams. 

Hi Briana, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My name is Briana Williams and I started working in Transportation in 2019. I had the pleasure to work in Safety and continue my knowledge in compliance. Last year in 2020 when covid-19 hit I learned what an essential job was and how much of a value Commercial Drivers are to everyone. Over the past couple of years, my passion for compliance has grown. I started B&M Compliance & More (Briana & Mekhi) so I can show my son how important truckers are in this world, and so I could help people who are Owner Operators get their business up and running and in DOT compliance and FMCSA regulated. Over the past couple of years, I was able to connect with drivers that have paid their trucks off but was lost as to what to do and how to get all the paperwork they needed to be in compliance and legally able to drive. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With me being a new business owner, it hasn’t been too hard yet, only because I am still building my clients. Some of the troubles I have come across was not only to have the idea but I was confused on how to start and where to start. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work in transportation as a Fleet Compliance Specialist. I specialize in helping Drivers with maintaining all paperwork that keep will keep then in compliance, assistance with getting their DOT and MC#, setting up IRP account and getting registration, help with getting base plates, Permits which includes NY,NM,OR,KYU,IFTA stickers, UCR, finding a drug consortium, signing up for clearinghouse, assist with 2290 filing, getting their LLC and EIN#, finding insurance quotes, and renewing permits and registrations as well. As the year ends we will be adding more services to come.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My son Mekhi the “M” in B&M Compliance and More. He gives me the reason to want to do more and have a better life for him. I want him to experience the world at a young age and be able to pick and choose wherever he wants to do when he gets older. Rather it’s stay in Missouri  when graduates High school one day or chooses to move and travel the world he will have the options to do so. That little boy is my purpose for everything and my business partner.
