Today we’d like to introduce you to Aristo Camburako.

Hi Aristo , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
From hotel kitchens to the Food Network to now his own eatery, mobile food truck and catering; Lee’s Summit’s own Chef Aristo Camburako is bringing to you an array of delicious foods. Aristo is a Certified Chef with extensive culinary experience. Aristo’s passion for cooking took off at a young age when he would cook with his parents at the family’s restaurant in Kansas City. Aristo’s chef tour of KC ultimately led him to wanting to take his talents to the street bringing his Greek heritage to the food truck where you will find a variety of Gyro’s, wings with his hand-crafted sauces, signature pastas, homemade dips, sides & salad, and desserts. A few favorites are the loaded gyro, sun dried tomato basil pasta, and his award-winning Orange Jalapeno blast wings. Don’t forget to try one of his specialty desserts.

Chef Aristo loves social events and is available for weddings, birthdays, graduations, block parties, corporate luncheons, and private dinners.

“My passion is cooking and making people happy through food. Kali Orexi!”

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I was the Chef at a hotel in Overland Park and was furloughed in 2020 during COVID. I started cooking meals for my family and friends when all the restaurants were closed. This gave me inspiration to open a food truck in September of 2020. I was called back in April of 2021 to return to work but decided to continue my entrepreneur career with my food truck and catering.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a chef and my passion is making people happy through food. I love serving our Greek food specialties with my wife from our food truck. This includes gyros, pastas, dips, salad, wings, and desserts. I love catering events as each one is different, and I love designing menus that people want to serve at their special events.
I’m very involved in the community of Lee’s Summit I work with the Chamber of Commerce on some of their special events like Oktoberfest. I prepare the German meal which includes very authentic German food. I also work closely with Coldwater, a non-profit organization close to my heart on their golf tournament, Crank out Hunger, and their Winterfest Gala.
