Daily Inspiration: Meet Andrew Euler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Euler.

Hi Andrew, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in 1992 in St. Joseph, MO. I spent my entire childhood growing up in Wathena, Kansas. I left for Topeka, Kansas to attend Washburn University where I majored in Biology with minors in Chemistry, Physics, and Leadership Studies. Following undergraduate school I attended the prestigious Creighton University, School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska where I received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). Following Dental School I moved back to Wathena and joined Dr. Scott Nelson at his practice in St. Joseph. In 2019 I also took a role as the Director of Dental Services for the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska at their White Cloud Health Center in White Cloud, Kansas. After a year of working under Dr. Nelson I purchased his practice and transformed it into Euler Family Dental. Every year my staff and I work to improve multiple aspects of the office. The growth and transformation of the office to improve patient care and reliability has always been our top priority. In 2022 due to the growth of my private practice I was forced to resign my position at White Cloud after ensuring that the dental program was sustainable for the Tribe. Since this time I have continued to practice 5 days a week at my private practice in St. Joseph.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest difficulties I have had was purchasing my private practice from Dr. Scott Nelson during the height of the pandemic. Due to being a new business there was limited to no access for any sort of financial assistance which many businesses in the area received. People were scared to come to the dentist and were in constant fear of getting sick. We were constantly hit with new protocols to follow by the American Dental Association and various government entities. Through all of this I was able to lead my team through both the financial and logistical complications from covid and today we look back at it as an unpleasant memory and nothing more.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I practice general dentistry. I don’t have any one specialty, and I am fortunate to have exceptional specialists in St. Joseph that I am able to refer to if necessary. I am most proud of the community I have built at my office with both my patients and my staff. I feel like my ability to understand a patients needs and wants is very good. Following understanding I then formulate a treatment plan that is both fair and comprehensive. Every patient should feel comfortable and at home at Euler Family Dental and I believe that sets us apart.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I can’t believe it myself but Euler Family Dental has won the KQ2 Best of St. Joseph Award for Best Dentist the last two years in a row.

A lesser known fact is that Euler Family Dental is fortunate to have Spanish speaking employees that allow us to communicate much more easily with the Hispanic Population and thereby provide better care for them.
