Daily Inspiration: Meet Alexis Randolph

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Randolph.

Alexis, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always had a passion for makeup, and in 2016 I decided to turn that passion into a career. I enrolled in cosmetology school while working part-time at a makeup store, where I gained some of the most valuable experience and truly fell in love with the artistry of makeup.

Back then, makeup was really bold dramatic looks. Sharp winged liner, full glam, defined brows, and a statement lip. I loved that era, and always will. While my style has evolved and I now specialize in timeless bridal soft glam, that creative foundation is what shaped me into the artist I am today.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a makeup artist hasn’t always been easy. There have been plenty of moments where I’ve questioned whether I should keep going. Like any business, there are busy seasons and slow seasons, and when bookings aren’t coming in, it can be really discouraging.

There have been times when I’ve had to put makeup on the back burner while focusing on other work and providing for my family. But no matter how far I step away, I always find my way back to it.

Makeup is something I genuinely love, and it’s a gift I’ve been blessed with. Helping people feel confident and beautiful is what reminds me why I started in the first place.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a Kansas City makeup artist specializing in timeless bridal glam. I work both independently and alongside the incredible bridal team at Fix Beauty Co., allowing me to serve brides throughout Kansas City and beyond.

While I truly love what I do, my greatest accomplishment is being a wife and a mom to my two beautiful girls. They are my biggest inspiration and the reason I work so hard to build a career I’m passionate about while creating meaningful experiences for every bride who sits in my chair.

What sets me apart isn’t just the makeup I create—it’s the experience I strive to give every client.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success comes from consistently showing up, even when it’s hard. It comes from putting in the work, staying committed, and refusing to give up.

I truly believe that anything I’ve accomplished has been possible because of God’s faithfulness. If there’s something you genuinely love and believe in, don’t give up on it. Stay consistent, trust the process, and keep putting one foot in front of the other. You never know what God has planned for your journey.
