Today we’d like to introduce you to Taja Bell.
Hi Taja, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My name is Taja Bell owner of Taja Boutique and Salon .
My love for the beauty industry started when I was just a little girl. I had an interest in making people look and feel good! I can remember my mother doing my hair before school and the feeling I had when I looked my best. I wanted every girl to feel the same. I then started doing my little sister’s hair, her friends’ hair, their friends’ hair, their mother’s hair, their mother’s friends’ hair…you name it lol!!
After graduating high school, I attended House of Heavilin beauty college in Grandview Missouri.
In 2013 I relocated to California and opened an online clothing boutique called Rubies and Pearls Boutique. Shortly after, I attended Marinello School Of Design, where I received a Certification to be a cosmetology instructor.
After a year and a half in California, I decided to move back to my home town where I then opened up my first salon, Healthy Tresses Beauty Parlor.
I now have opened up a boutique/salon in Grandview Mo Taja B Boutique and Salon where I have now combined both the boutique and salon and changed the name.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely been a struggle… but a blessing! When I say struggle I more so mean small roadblocks that turn into blessings! I honestly believe every struggle/blessing was for the better. So honestly, no struggles just blessing.

I’m a fashion boutique and salon owner! I specialize in natural hair. I help women look and feel their best. Taja B boutique and salon is known for our silk presses. We’re set apart not only do we promote healthy hair we also promote healthy scalps! We’re going to also educate you about your hair and scalp, not only will be educated you we will give an amazing experience!
