Conversations with Stephen Green

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephen Green.

Stephen, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It was 2017 and I found myself in a place of severe burnout. I had spent many years working in the mental health field working with at-rick teens and the lack of self-care had taken its toll on me. I left my job in pursuit of my own heath and ended up in a very dark season of my life.

It was in this place of depression and anxiety that I discovered my love for photography! I poured my spare time and energy into taking photos and playing around with various creative programs and, even though I had always been artistic, I experienced for the first time in my life a real creative outlet for myself!

As I grew in my skills, soon I discovered that I could start making money with my passions and began conducting business arrangements to earn an income doing what I love!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This journey has not been easy, though I find roads worth traveling rarely are. The hardest parts have been challenging myself to value in my own work, allowing others to speak positively about my creations, as well as networking in an efficient manner. These are all things that I have spent a great deal of time attempting to refine and grow in as a entrepreneur.

I find that every person has some area that life demands they improve and that’s ok. These are opportunities: nothing more, nothing less.

And I think it is needless to say that 2020 was in and of itself a rough experience!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
While I am also actively employed as a Customer Account Specialist, My true passion is in photography and digital art. I primarily take portraits commemorating life events (such as graduations and weddings) but also portraits designed to be artistic and empowering for the subject.

I believe that photography is a means of self-discovery and personal expression, as well as a way for men and women to unveil their personalities; their unique beauty! Through my portraiture, I seek to bring out the best in my subjects, as well as provide an enjoyable experience. I also seek to give my clients and outlet to express what they might not otherwise be able to, such as sorrow, sexiness, or even joy!

Any big plans?
I’m constantly growing and expanding! Every day I devout time and energy to learning and improving my knowledge about my craft and as I build up my resources I continue to provide more unique ways to serve my community/clientele.

I’m looking forward to taking on new artistic projects, expanding my studio space, and creating incredible new art pieces that others may resonate with or experience joy from!

The future is full of possibility and I’m ready to make the most of it!
