Conversations with Nikki Sullivan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Sullivan

Hi Nikki, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
There was a time when my life felt like I was falling apart, depressed, full of anxiety, and I didn’t know why. I was at a crossroads, staring down two very different paths: one that continued the destructive cycle I was trapped in, and another that required a leap of faith, a complete transformation. But here’s the thing: I didn’t even know where to start. I couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong, let alone imagine how to fix it or ask for help.

The weight of that realization was crushing. Emotionally, I felt like I was drowning, constantly lost in dark thoughts and and a profound sense of disconnection. Physically, I was starting to see the impacts more and more each day, exhaustion, weight gain, sleeping poorly, chronic pain, headaches, and, no energy. If you’ve ever felt like this or like you’re living on autopilot, completely out of touch with who you really are, you’ll understand how paralyzing it can be.

I didn’t know it then, but that crossroads became the turning point I needed.

I started a journey of self-discovery that changed everything. It wasn’t a straight path, nor was it easy. But slowly, I began to uncover tools that helped me climb out of the darkness. Mindfulness practices, mindset shifts, restorative yoga, and holistic healing became the lifelines I so desperately needed. These weren’t just self-care practices, they were transformative. They gave me clarity, peace, and a renewed sense of purpose I had never felt.

As I healed, something inside me sparked. I realized that this wasn’t just my journey, it was a calling. I knew I wasn’t alone in feeling lost, stuck, or out of alignment with life’s deeper meaning. There are so many women out there quietly struggling, unsure of where to begin, just like I was.

That’s why I made it my mission to help others.

Today, as a speaker, retreat leader, and coach, I specialize in guiding women toward their authentic selves, toward the version of themselves they might not even realize exists yet. My approach is deeply rooted in what worked for me: blending mindfulness, mindset shifts, healing practices, and alternative healing modalities in a way that feels practical and accessible.

But more than that, I create a space where women feel safe to explore their inner world. Whether it’s through retreats, workshops, or coaching, my goal is to help women uncover the limiting beliefs holding them back, shift their mindset, and take actionable steps toward the life they’ve been dreaming of.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Building a wellness business has been a journey filled with challenges, growth, and learning. My own road to healing was long and filled with trial and error. With no guidance, I spent a long time trying to find my way, experimenting with approaches that didn’t work, failing, starting over, and encountering bad experiences with uncertified healers that left me feeling even more lost. I was struggling figuring it out as I went, and while it was hard, it also taught me so much about resilience and what truly helps people heal.

I knew that if I wanted to help others, I needed to invest in myself and my education. I committed to getting certified in multiple modalities, from mindfulness and meditation to restorative yoga and alternative healing techniques. This was no small undertaking, as it required balancing my full-time corporate job while dedicating every free moment to learning how to teach and guide others effectively. The financial investment was equally hard, I put my personal savings into this dream, which was both terrifying and exciting. There were definitely moments when I questioned everything, wondering if I was doing the right thing.

Additionally, there was the challenge of building the business itself (which I had no idea how to do!). Sharing my personal journey was uncomfortable at first, especially knowing all my friends and family would have to find out. And figuring out things like marketing, planning retreats, and creating meaningful content were all completely new to me. It was a steep learning curve, but every step of it reinforced why I was doing this in the first place. There were moments when self-doubt again crept in, and the weight of juggling so many responsibilities felt overwhelming. Yet, my belief in the value of my journey and the impact I could make kept me moving forward.

Looking back, the struggles, the risks, the early mornings and late nights, it’s all been worth it because it’s brought me here. I get to help women uncover their true selves, step into their purpose, and find the peace and joy they deserve. It’s such an honor to create a space where women can release what’s holding them back and step into their strength. If my own messy, imperfect journey taught me anything, it’s that transformation is possible, and I’m so grateful to be able to walk that path with others.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
