Today we’d like to introduce you to Marckson François.
Hi Marckson, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has been shaped by creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to bet on myself. I’ve always wanted to see how far I could push myself, whether that meant stepping into unfamiliar spaces, learning from others, or taking chances before I had everything figured out.
Modeling has been a major part of that journey, and it’s something I truly love. It has allowed me to express myself, connect with incredible people, and challenge myself in ways I never expected. There is still so much I want to accomplish within modeling, while continuing to explore other creative spaces like acting and voice-over work.
I’m hungry for what’s next, but I’m also patient with the process. I’m always going to be a student of the game — willing to learn, ask questions, and continue improving. I know who I am, I believe in what I’m building, and I’m excited to see how far I can take it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. My twenties have challenged me in ways I didn’t always expect. Some challenges were outside of my control, and some were the result of decisions I had to take responsibility for. Either way, I’ve learned that life doesn’t stop because things get hard.
If there’s one thing that has stayed consistent, it’s my ability to get back up. I’ve learned that setbacks can either define you or become part of the growth that moves you forward. Every experience has taught me something, strengthened my perspective, and reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.
I still hold myself to a high standard, and I know there’s another level I want to reach. But I’m also proud of how far I’ve come. Growth isn’t always linear, but every challenge has shaped the person I’m becoming and prepared me for where I’m going next.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work has always been guided by creativity, adaptability, and the belief in letting the magic happen. Whether through modeling, acting, voice-over work, or mentorship through Fashion Honors Autism, I’ve continued to explore different ways to express myself while contributing to the spaces I’m part of.
I believe the strongest creative environments are built when people feel comfortable bringing ideas forward, challenging each other, and contributing without ego. The best work happens when people feel valued, heard, and encouraged to bring their perspective to the table.
I’m not afraid to push the envelope, but I’m intentional about the opportunities I pursue and the environments I step into. Whether on a runway, on set, behind a microphone, or through mentorship, I want to continue creating spaces where people can collaborate, grow, and bring their best ideas forward.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I appreciate most about Kansas City is its momentum. I’ve always enjoyed following the city’s development and watching how neighborhoods, businesses, and opportunities continue to evolve. I remember when Kansas City didn’t always get the recognition it deserved, but today there’s a different energy. Our sports teams have brought a lot of pride and excitement to the city, and combined with the growth, diversity, and culture here, it’s been amazing to watch Kansas City continue to gain recognition. I’ve planted roots here, and I’m excited to see how this growth continues to shape the city for generations to come.
Honestly, I don’t have a major dislike. Like any growing city, there are always areas where we can continue to improve. I’d love to see continued investment in our communities and resources that allow everyone to benefit from the city’s growth. I think the future of Kansas City is bright, and the work being done today can create opportunities not only for the current generation, but for generations to come.
