Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenneth Steele.
Hi Kenneth, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We’re Kenneth and Rhonda Steele, and our ministry journey began in 1999 at Refresh Church, formerly Refreshing Water Worship Center. It was there that God developed our foundation for ministry — teaching us the power of faith, service, and spiritual leadership.
Also, in this season Rhonda and I was married in February of 1999. We had our first child in 1999 (Danielle), then in 2000 we had our second child (Kendra), then in 2003 our son came along (Isaac.)
In 2020, God called us into a new season — to mentor a young church called Veer Church and to guide its young pastor and his wife. That season of mentorship grew into a deeper assignment, and in 2022, God transitioned us to lead Veer Church. Through that time, He continued shaping our hearts and vision for the future.
When God closed the chapter on Veer Church, He opened the door for a new beginning. In 2024, we officially launched Lifestyle Church — a ministry built to help people live out their faith daily and walk in the fullness of the life God designed for them.
From our first step in ministry to this new chapter, we’ve witnessed God’s faithfulness every step of the way. Lifestyle Church stands as a testimony of His grace, guidance, and purpose — A Place Where Character Is Developed.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No – There are always challenges when you are starting something new. When we started with Refresh Church back in 1999; there was some growing pains. I was a zealous 27 year ready to conqueror everything but as my Pastor would always tell me just relax you will get your time, I just need you to sit and learn.
During that season I had to learn more discipline; also had to navigate through newly married. Also expecting our first baby on the way. The main struggle in our early years of ministry is serving while trying to raise a family, this is not easy.
Our challenge right now as we lead Lifestyle Church is to make sure we are doing everything in a Spirit of Excellence
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What do I do? I work for American Associations of Veterinary State Board as their Accounts Receivable Specialist
What I am most proud of? Is my wife and children. Also the church God is allow us to build together.
What sets me apart from others? My desire to see other people Win
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a simple kid who like playing basketball. This was my interest growing up
