Conversations with Isabelle Mullinax

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isabelle Mullinax.

Hi Isabelle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always been a creator ever since I was little and once I saw the trend of painting shoes, I saw no harm in at least trying out a business. So, I bought the basic materials and made my first listing on Etsy. It took a while but in about a month or so of multiple new designs and staring up on social media, I got my first order! And they haven’t stopped coming in since!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, definitely not. Being a high schooler running a business all by myself has not been easy. I’ve had some difficult customers and with balancing my time but it has been totally worth it!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I paint sneakers that act as the perfect finishing touch to every outfit! I personally create designs and have held three launches and had some other individual releases. I also specialize in custom shoes and have created many perfect pairs for customers!

What were you like growing up?
My mom has always called me her responsible child. I love learning and trying new things. I have always been overly creative in everything I do. I am upbeat and have been called, goody-two-shoes plenty of times.
