Conversations with Elizabeth Guzman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Guzman.

Elizabeth Guzman

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey with energy healing and skincare truly began when I started having children. I realized that the “traditional” way of doing things wasn’t for me. My work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit stemmed from my grandmother, who immigrated to the United States in 1979 from Jalisco, Mexico. She started as a maid and saved enough money to buy properties, eventually becoming a landlord. Growing up, I was surrounded by strong and resilient women. My mother always showed me that if something isn’t working or if you don’t enjoy it, try something else. There were no failures, only lessons.

So, that’s what I did. I tried different paths and eventually settled on esthetics. My goal was always to work for myself. However, I worked in various spas for the experience, which was incredibly helpful and detrimental to my journey. It helped me fine-tune my skills and taught me what I liked and disliked about the industry. In the midst of this, I really enjoyed learning about energy healing and used that to start my healing journey. It was so profound to me that I wanted to incorporate it into my current career. Finally, I had the courage and confidence to become a solo esthetician.

Owning a business is not as glamorous as it may seem on social media. However, I have never been more fulfilled in my career than I am now. Luckily, I knew a few inspiring women who were always willing to offer support and guidance. I am overflowing with immense gratitude that people trust me with their skin and healing!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It certainly presented challenges. Working for others means being at their dime and time. I have a family that I want to be fully present for, and some of those spa jobs didn’t always fit well with my priorities. I was also going through a significant period of personal healing. I found myself in a battle with my own self. I lacked the tools for self-regulation, healing, and self-awareness. The experience of having children really opened that wound, and it was impossible to ignore.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Our mission is to empower individuals to unlock their healthiest skin and inner selves by combining spiritual wellness and modern esthetics. We aim to help you achieve radiant skin and build a healthy relationship with yourself at every stage of your journey.

I am a licensed aesthetician with 6 years of experience. I specialize in results-driven, corrective skincare focusing on issues like hyperpigmentation and acne. Additionally, I offer energy healing facials where we work on healing our spirit and skin, which is currently my favorite treatment to perform. My services also include chemical peels, hydrodermabrasion, energy healing, brow and lash services.

I genuinely value connection and thoroughly enjoy the bonds that have been cultivated from my career. Helping people heal themselves and find their confidence in whatever service they choose is what I am most proud of!

Alright, so before we go, can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?

2. Spread the word: Word-of-mouth is a powerful tool. By sharing your positive experiences with friends and family and on social media, you can help me reach a wider audience and attract more clients.

3. Leave a review: If you have received a service from me, leaving a positive review on platforms like Google, Yelp, or social media can help build credibility and trust of my small business.

4. Collaborate on events: If you are a wellness practitioner, beauty blogger, or influencer, collaborating on events or projects can be a mutually beneficial way to support each other and reach new audiences.

5. Provide feedback: Your feedback is valuable to me. By sharing your thoughts on my services, customer experience, or suggestions for improvement, you can help me refine and enhance the quality of my offerings. I so appreciate an opening dialogue with my guests!
