Hi Dewanna , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Concierge was founded over 20 years ago with a passion for bringing people together through exceptional hospitality and memorable experiences. What began as a small event planning and catering business has grown into a full-service company offering catering, event planning, floral design, décor, bar service, and event management. Along the way, we’ve had the privilege of serving weddings, corporate events, nonprofit organizations, universities, and private celebrations both locally and beyond.
Our growth has been built on hard work, consistency, and a commitment to treating every event—no matter the size—with excellence. Today, Concierge is known for creating personalized experiences, building lasting relationships with clients, and turning their vision into unforgettable celebrations.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many small businesses, we’ve faced economic challenges, changing client needs, and the uncertainty that came with the pandemic. There have also been the day-to-day challenges of growing a business, building the right team, and balancing entrepreneurship with life’s personal responsibilities. Through every obstacle, we’ve remained committed to our purpose, adapted when necessary, and continued to deliver exceptional service. Those experiences have made Concierge stronger, more resilient, and even more dedicated to serving our clients with excellence.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What I’m most proud of is the trust we’ve earned within our community. Many of our clients become lifelong clients, returning to celebrate milestones with us and referring their family and friends. From corporate, to celebrity client what sets Concierge apart is our customized service. We believe every client deserves a personalized experience, thoughtful attention to detail, and genuine care. Our goal isn’t just to host an event—it’s to create meaningful moments that people will remember long after the celebration ends.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success by the impact I make on others. It’s about building meaningful relationships, exceeding expectations, and creating opportunities that leave people feeling valued. If my work brings people together, creates lasting memories, and positive impacts I consider that success.
