Hi Desiree, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?

We’re just a couple of girls who have an obsession with curated designs, swoon over chef-inspired food, love bringing people together, collaborating with some bomb local businesses, and having a good time too!

We created Pop Up Picnics KC as a socially distanced solution to quarantine boredom. With an extra af twist. We specialize in styled, customized picnics- a luxury outdoor social experience.

Each of our picnics tells a story—a story of people, places, and exquisite food.

Don’t worry about a thing, boo! We take care of everything for you! From set-up to tear down and the fresh flowers too. Let’s not forget the feast of food, for we have grazing boards that’ll make you drool.

Did we mention that Midwestern view or the hidden photographer just for you?!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a glorious road! Of course, there have been some bumps but we have worked through them with grace and style! The Midwestern weather has been our biggest struggle! But that leads us to invest in our bubble tent which will make its debut in fall for rain or shine picnics and our Bali style floating picnic for your pool to beat that Kansas City summer heat! We’ve got your entertainment covered for every season!

Our motto is “small details = big differences” and we show that in every picnic we create! We like to call ourselves the light bringers! 👌 Whatever the occasion, Pop Up Picnics KC offers the ultimate luxe picnic experience – think luxury or glam picnic; where curated design is perfectly paired with chef-inspired food and you don’t have to lift a finger. Pop Up Picnics KC takes care of all the details – we find the perfect location, bring the food, set up and clean everything up when your done so you can walk into the sunset! Each Pop Up Picnic includes three features: food, setup and service.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Heck, COVID is what started our business! If COVID didn’t happen, we would have never had the chance to create picnic magic!
