Hi Claude, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been making art all my life. I started painting when I got my job of 12 years now from a decision I made. I was coming from being without a job for years when I was young. I bought me canvases and paint and a computer and I’ve been creating magic ever since.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Having anxiety to talk to people was a challenge at first. Not knowing what to sale my paintings for or where to go. Who to trust and understanding the business of me. People devalue your work and try to trick you, but you have to know your worth. Then having time to create and make a living.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in acrylic paint and digital art, although I’m an all around artist. I do portraits, surrealism,fantasy,and social political satire that expresses my culture. I’m proud of the blackwoman and culture I put in my art. My detail and story telling in paintings sets me apart.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Know your worth, business,and goals. You are the media and you can shape ideas and the future with what you create. You are more powerful than you know
