Conversations with Charzelle David

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charzelle David.

Hi Charzelle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Forks N Chill was established in July 2021 as a luxury picnic provider. At that time, we included a charcuterie board with every picnic. We found that our clients LOVED our charcuterie boards! Suddenly people were requesting our boards for other events – not just picnics. Before we knew it, charcuterie became our focus. This expanded into weddings, catering, corporate events and more.

Our business has continued to grow and has since expanded into the Tulsa, OK area. Forks N Chill is woman-owned and operated — and more than just that — we’re a family business that is comprised of me, my mom, and my sister. We are honored to be your trusted provider of delicious bespoke charcuterie experiences across Oklahoma and Missouri.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It is important to find a supportive way to communicate the value of working with an experienced caterer when customers are choosing what vendor to trust with their special event. With experience comes the ability to accurately estimate prices, serving sizes, and create a bespoke experience that matches your budget. Your special event deserves to be stress-free and that’s what makes Forks N Chill the best choice!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Forks N Chill is a licensed charcuterie caterer that specializes in artfully designed bespoke charcuterie experiences for corporate and personal events such as weddings, showers, graduations, and anniversaries.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, the charcuterie industry is likely to see a rise in innovation and customization, with more emphasis on artisanal and sustainable products. As consumers become more health-conscious and environmentally aware, there may be a shift toward plant-based charcuterie options, alternative proteins, and eco-friendly packaging. The growing demand for premium, locally sourced ingredients could further drive the market toward small-batch production and collaboration between local farms and producers. Additionally, the digital experience may grow in importance, with consumers seeking personalized charcuterie experiences through online platforms and delivery services.
