Today we’d like to introduce you to Chance Dubinick.
Hi Chance, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in a small town in Kansas called Louisburg. I’ve always loved social media ever since I was a kid. Watching content in my free time as an escape. Now it’s my career. I used to work different minimum wage jobs to support my sneaker addiction. And one day, I came home and made a video on TikTok about sneakers. And from there, it took off. Posting 4-6 times a day making videos about sneakers across my social media platforms. And as my sneaker collection grew, so did my following. Living at my parent’s house, I began making content all night after getting off work. And from there, I was able to partner with huge brands like Lids, Poshmark, Offer up, Crep Protect, depop, and even have been reshared on media platforms like Footlocker, Bleacher Room, Daquan, Kicks on Fire, and more. Making content changed my life. I am able to do social media as my full-time job now. And it’s the dream I’ve always had since a kid.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Struggles I’ve had on the way were time. Making content takes time and when you are working a full-time job, that’s where you run into obstacles. Involving personal live and social media is very hard as a content creator.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
For a living, I create content. For myself and working with brands to market for them. I love what I do and helping other creators make content as well.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Resources that help me a lot are music. I love listening to music because it gives me creativity. Another one of my favorite things to do is study successful people. Listening to podcasts or even watching old interviews from the early 2,000s of people who have influence over society today. I take notes on what they say and try to apply that to my daily life.
