Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassie Jones.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey really started when I was a child. There was not the language that we have today for what it means to be a Highly Sensitive Person or an Empath and I experienced everything on a deeper level than most. I always cringed at that word “sensitive” until I came to understand that it is actually my superpower! Those of us that are wired this way feel things and process the world so deeply! We have huge hearts and are known for being in the role of “the priestly advisor” because we care so much about people, animals, and the earth. We notice the subtleties like all the details and layers of the world around us. And the world was not made for people who get overwhelmed so easily!
I have always known that I am here to help. I went to college to be a school counselor so I could be a direct support for as many children as I could, and I ended as a Professional Counselor. I am naturally curious and so I questioned a lot of what the world tells me is the “right” way and wondered how have people been healing outside of talk-therapy? I have been on this journey now for two decades exploring the ways that we grow and heal more deeply. When I think back, it started like a Dora the Explorer type of adventure that quickly started feeling more like Outlander or Harry Potter!
Today, I am trained and licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor, but I would call myself more of an “integrationist”. In my adventures, I have collected training and tools that allow me to support people to move more quickly down their own path of self-discovery and healing. Long story short, what I found is we grow and heal through “experiences” and as an advocate for your inner and outer freedoms, I love to interweave energy work with emotional awareness and somatic (body-based) ways to help us become more whole…Mind, Body, Soul, and Spirit. This makes me a very different kind of counselor!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been many challenges to not fitting in the box that society wants therapists to fit in. So often, I think we are programmed to “stay in our lane” when I feel my lane is to help a person become whole which to me meant I needed to know more and experience healing from as many other spaces and places that I could. I wondered how have other cultures supported healing and growing? And how does cutting-edge science today supporting the new level of healing and growing. We need both the practical and the mystical! The science and the soul. And we are so lucky to be alive right now to have both.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an Intuitive Therapist and Spiritual Coach offering classes, groups, and individual work in a deeper level of self-awareness, inner-child healing, and therapeutic breathwork. I specialize in supporting other healers, helpers, and therapists in doing their own work. Most people drawn to me are those who identify as Highly Sensitive, Empathic, and/or Intuitive. People who feel called to work together tend to be curious, willing, and ready to participate in the next chapter of their hero’s journey.
I am most proud of doing my own inner work and staying on the path of spiritual transformation. I feel it is essential for those of us that are holding sacred space for others to know our own depths, shadows, and subconscious blocks to life. It takes a continuous willingness to show up for myself in discomfort, honesty, and with a truck full of continuous compassion so that I can be a mirror for everyone I have the opportunity to support.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy? Living life “on purpose, with purpose”.
What does this look like? Breathing in moments. Lots of pausing to appreciate this beautiful planet we live on! Sunrises, sunsets, sounds of birds, tasting good food, connecting with deep conversations, and being in loving community.
