Conversations with Brittani Rose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittani Rose.

Hi Brittani, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. Life hasn’t always been easy for me, and art was my heartbeat. It kept me going through all the seasons of life. I have always enjoyed sharing my art with the world around me. Most are memorized by my attention to detail, unique style, and vibrant colors. Over the years, I have given away, sold, and stored many pieces without direction. Recently, with encouragement, Brittani Rose Art has taken off. I had no idea what I was doing when I started vending. I have a fire for helping others and sharing art, which has helped me. This last year, I have participated in many pop-ups and fairs. I have met so many amazing people. I’ve found my life path. I used to dream of making and selling art as a kid. Today, that dream is a reality. I feel at home when talking and sharing what I have created with others. Everything I make, I make with intention. My pieces have a home, and they are awaiting their owner. The light I see in others when they find their piece of art fills my soul. Everything I create is hand drawn, hand made, and hand painted. Yes, I do the absolute most. Art is more than just putting paint on canvas. It is the sharing of energy, the transference of joy, and bringing light and color into your everyday life.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I had no idea what I was doing when I started. I can create beautiful things, but turning that into a business is another story. There have been a few bumps in the road, but nothing major. I have met a lot of magical souls who have helped me along the way. Networking is a huge. Staying open-minded and determined to learn all there is to know has also helped. Something else I’ve learned is that only some shows are monetarily abundant, which is okay. I utilized those times to network and learn more about my craft. Sometimes, abundance has nothing to do with how much I made at the show and everything to do with the connections to others.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am known for my intricate line work, unique style, and vibrant colors. Everything I create is handmade, hand-drawn, and hand-painted. I focus on bringing art into everyday items. I specialize in astrology, tarot, and self-help. My art falls into surrealism with whimsy and magic. I’ve also turned my drawings into adult coloring books. I have done 3 thus far and plan on doing many more. My attention to detail sets me apart from others; I’m not afraid to try anything new, and my positive outlook no matter what is thrown my way.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some changes you expect to see over the next five to ten years?
My plans for the future? I am still in the learning phases. However, I know in my heart this is my life path. I’m planning on making more magic and seeing where it takes me. I want to become a beacon of light in the community. I want to continue Brittani Rose Art and expand that into other areas. I want to help others personally, help the community, and continue to grow on my life journey.
