Today we’d like to introduce you to Benjamin Blevins

Hi Benjamin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Barrage formed in 2019, with the goal of creating and playing heavy music. In our time together we have released an EP called “Sensory Overload”, a few singles, and have played many shows with some of our favorite bands including Sevendust, Crowbar, and Oxymorrons.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The toughest part of being in a band is finding like members with like goals. Having a cohesive unit is always a struggle, but our current lineup feels like family! Another challenge is feeling growth in a creative field. Having set goals and motivations isn’t always plausible in this field, but we have learned to manage ourselves very well from it all.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a Groove Metal / Metalcore band. We specialize is bringing extreme intensity with no compromise to melody. What sets us apart is our ability to take the crowd on a journey through the highs and lows of our music. We aren’t full bore all the time. We are able to lower the energy and bring a sort of peace to the room, which makes the highs more intense.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
We learned how important being with your people is. The energy of a crowd is unmatched to anything else.
