Conversations with Amy Black

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Black.

Hi Amy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My whole life, I’ve watched others struggle—some in my own family, and yes, myself included—with what I call their “One Big Thing.” It wasn’t often that I saw a true success story, but those experiences shaped my heart to help others find freedom and restoration.

Having been set free myself, I now teach people how to encounter God on a spiritual level that leads to real transformation. These encounters awaken true identity, deepen understanding of God, and reveal divine purpose.

I share these truths through biblical teaching, interactive books, speaking engagements, workshops, music, and my website, which serves as a community for sharing and receiving encouragement through stories of God encounters. Each testimony becomes part of what I call The Yada Revolution—a movement of hearts experiencing God in a deeply personal way.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Yes, God has opened many doors for me—allowing me to write several books and step into new ventures. I absolutely love teaching others how to have a Yada moment with God and seeing their eyes light up when they share their own experiences with me.

At the same time, I’d also say no, because this was never part of my original plan. When God first asked me to do something far outside my comfort zone, my own thoughts and doubts definitely got in the way. What I’ve learned through it all is that when God tells you to do something, you should simply do it. He has a remarkable way of working everything out—His way—every single time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I would describe myself as more of a creative person than an artist. I love bringing ideas together in ways that teach others through interactive experiences.

To date, I have published a children’s book titled The Tree of Us. It’s a fun and meaningful story that helps young readers learn how God designed them from the inside out—through the beauty of nature and family.

My favorite work, Yada Revolution, is almost ready for publication. This teaching book is the one God specifically asked me to write. It explores His divine design for us and takes a familiar verse to a deeper level, revealing fresh insight into His instruction. I believe that in this moment in history, God is revealing new aspects of Himself—a call to intimacy much like the days of King David.

I’ve written the lyrics to two original songs that are included in my book and featured exclusively on my website. Each song was created through prayer and reflection to help others experience God’s presence and truth in a personal and meaningful way.

Yada Revolution weaves together biblical teaching, music, time in God’s presence, journaling, and speaking God’s truths over your life. Through prayerful seeking and the Holy Spirit’s leading, I’ve come to believe that truly knowing God through experiential encounters is a revolution—one that will help prepare the Church for the great harvest to come.

How do you define success?
I define success as relationship building. There is no greater success than cultivating relationships that inspire others to draw closer—to one another and to God.

One seed of trust, one surrendered heart, and one story can bloom into a testimony that carries on the wind of the Holy Spirit, landing in another heart ready to receive it. That, to me, is true success. That is Yada Revolution.
