Conversations with Ally Hansen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ally Hansen.

Ally Hansen

Hi Ally, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Alexandra, Ally for short, and I own Xandraesthetics Skin & Co. I started my own esthetics business in March 2023 after graduating from school and was able to go solo with the help of my former teachers and clientele. I aim to bring something unique to the KC area and make my clients feel comfortable. As a new small business owner, I’ve learned a lot and plan to keep evolving to create a space in which anyone can feel beautiful while receiving their favorite beauty services.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to where I am now has had ups and downs. I’ve had to teach myself how to run a business and continuously educate myself on new services and techniques. It can be overwhelming sometimes, but seeing my clients happy makes it all worth it.

Thanks – What else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I offer many services such as facials, waxing, lash and brow tinting and perming, and makeup. I’m known for my relaxing but results-focused facials, brow waxes, tints, and laminations. I want to create an environment where clients feel welcomed and heard. I love catering to different preferences and helping people learn new things about their beauty routines!

What changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
My industry is becoming one of the top in the world. In the past few years, the interest and demand for skincare and makeup have significantly increased. New trends in the beauty industry are constantly forming, so they will always be prominent.
