Community Highlights: Meet Weston Sparks of Studio Skate Supply

Today we’d like to introduce you to Weston Sparks.

Hi Weston, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2017, the skateshop that I grew up skating for was shutting down. With no indoor skateparks in the area, it made sense to build one for the public to access.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In 2021, Studio had two weeks to find a new home for the business which led to expanding our park in KCK.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Studio Skate Supply?
Studio Skate Supply is a family-owned skate shop and indoor skate park focused on access and progression. Our mission is simple: build skaters. We’re known for our Skate School program and for having the best skateboarding instructors in the country—people who care deeply about helping skaters grow, no matter their age or starting point.

We offer Skate School classes every Saturday morning, along with private lessons, camps, and open skate sessions. We also take pride in helping customers find the right setup for their goals. What sets us apart is that we’re not just selling products—we’re focused on progression, confidence, and creating a space where skaters can keep coming back and improving.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Don’t think, just do.
