Valerie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey began in 2003, when at 24, I launched Jennings Social Media & MarTech (JSMM). We were one of the first agencies to integrate social media into marketing strategies, even before platforms like Facebook became mainstream. Over time, we’ve adapted to the digital landscape, from early blogging and influencer outreach to leveraging AI-powered campaign optimization.
As the Founder and CEO, I’ve led JSMM’s evolution from a service-based agency to an AI-first growth partner provider. This shift was driven by the increasing demand for high-certainty solutions and measurable outcomes, allowing us to move from selling hours to delivering results and sales leads.
Today, we work with clients from publicly traded companies to small businesses in industries like healthcare, technology, tourism, real estate, manufacturing, transportation, automotive and MedTech. Through AI-driven campaigns, predictive analysis, and geofencing, we create innovative, impactful advertising. My approach of blending creativity with data continues to fuel our success and the transformation of our clients’ brands. This work has earned me recognition as a finalist in the 2025 Stevie Awards and Agency Leader in Ragan’s Top Women in Marketing Awards.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
“One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that resilience comes from embracing change. During the pandemic, we quickly adapted to a remote-first business model. This decision not only attracted top-tier talent from around the world but also fostered an inclusive, flexible work environment. Even as the industry shifted back to in-office operations, our remote model has been a key factor in our success. This shift showcased our ability to thrive in both traditional and modern business environments.”

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
“What makes me happiest is the balance between my passions and my work. I’m a taekwondo blackbelt, and I love playing tennis. Family is at the core of everything I do, and spending time with my husband and daughter is incredibly precious. I also love traveling, as experiencing new places and cultures is something that brings me immense joy.”
