Today we’d like to introduce you to Nico Brogoto.
Hi Nico, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After spending six years as a Firefighter with the Kansas City Fire Department (KCFD) and working Asphalt on my days off, I had hit a turning point. My beautiful wife and I were expecting our first baby, and I knew I couldn’t keep working 90+ hours a week and living paycheck to paycheck. So with that I decided it was time to bet on myself and go all in.
In 2019, Platinum Paving and Concrete was founded. Fast forward 7 Years and we have grown into a full service asphalt, sealcoat and concrete contractor Serving the Greater KC Metro. Along the way I have been blessed with two more children, which has only fueled my drive to build something lasting.
From Day 1, we’ve been guided by 3 core values: Honesty, Quality and Affordability. These are just words, they’re how we’ve built lasting relationships with our customers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. Our first full season started with the COVID Pandemic, and there was a lot of uncertainty. Assembling a top-tier team took pretty much the entire first season. Along the way there has been plenty of learning lessons, system changes and even personnel changes. What most people don’t realize is asphalt and concrete are perishable items so with these industries “time is of the essences.” Cold or old mix is a nature for disaster and could not only cost you ten of thousands of dollar but also a future customer. Problem solving is still a daily obstacle but our team is accustom to getting comfortable during these uncomfortable times.

Platinum Paving and Concrete is a full service asphalt and concrete contractor proudly serving the greater Kansas City area. Our company has been built on 3 core values: Honesty, Quality, & Affordability.
We offer a full range of services using quality materials, experienced manpower, and the right equipment designed for the specific job at hand. We deal with all things parking lots; Asphalt, Concrete, Sealcoating, Striping, Signage and Bollards.
What sets us apart is our attention to detail and the relationship we build with our customers. Communication is key every step of the process and keeping our customers informed as the project progresses is key to our success.
We are most proud of the family environment we have created, and the trust we have instilled in our employees and customers. We truly believe that teamwork is what makes the dream work and collectively we have some of the best in the industries.

Success for me us building a life where:
My family is healthy, close and feels loved and secure knowing I’m present and providing for them without sacrificing time.
I am apart of a winning team that reflects my core values: We deliver honest work, exceptional quality and fair prices. We take care of our team like family and earn lifelong customers through trust.
Lastly I am a firm believer in leaving the places and people I touch better than I found them, whether that’s a perfectly paved parking lot, a safer community from my Fire Fighting days or the legacy I am creating for my kids.
