Community Highlights: Meet Lauren Bower of Bower Law

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Bower.

Hi Lauren, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I was born a negotiator. Law school was the obvious choice. I began working at a firm in my hometown during my undergraduate studies where I focused on family law. Although family law can be messy, it can also be extremely rewarding.

I come from a family of entrepreneurs who support me and encourage me to challenge myself. I am passionate about growing my business and helping my community. I thrive in an environment where I can problem-solve for families and help children.

I am passionate about minimizing the impact divorce or other difficult family situations can have on children, especially children who find themselves in the middle of a high conflict situation. I encourage my clients to put their children first in these situations.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I always knew I wanted to start my own business, but making that move and leaving the steady paycheck behind was scary. I knew it was time to leave my comfort zone and take the leap. Entrepreneurship is a high risk, high reward.

We’ve been impressed with Bower Law LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My practice focuses on helping families through difficult times whether that is a divorce or a custody matter.

I also help people plan ahead to make difficult times a bit easier through estate planning. Estate planning is not just for older people. Estate planning benefits people of all ages. It’s never pleasant to think about your death or incapacity, but it is selfish to leave it to your loved ones to figure out when you are gone. You can really protect those you care about most by being proactive.

I strive to make the process as easy as possible for my clients by using technology to streamline their experience. From the initial phone consultation to reviewing documents, almost everything can be done electronically from the comfort of your home. I place a lot of importance on client satisfaction and try to make myself available as much as possible to answer questions and show compassion.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Happiness. Happy clients. Happy employees. Happy families.
