Community Highlights: Meet Kyle Weinmaster of Heartland Soft Tissue Therapy LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Weinmaster.

Hi Kyle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my manual therapy career as a sports massage therapist. My first mentor who got me into this profession works with professional football players. In 2023 I was able to learn and work alongside her in Las Vegas during the training camp for the Las Vegas Raiders. This was a phenomenal experience even though it was only a one time deal.
After my experience in Las Vegas, I had a desire to learn more and expand my skills past pre and post workout therapies. This is when I started learning more about adhesions and how they cause chronic pain. Dealing with chronic pain can not only be physically debilitating, it can also affect your mental health. Learning how to identify and treat adhesions has been an awesome experience so far. Every case is unique, and I’ve been able to help a lot of people significantly reduce or get rid of their chronic pain. It is very rewarding knowing I’ve made a positive impact on the lives of the people I’ve treated.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’m sure my path has been similar to most small business owners. When I first started I, didn’t know anything about running a business, how to market myself, or even how to sell myself and service to a potential client. My first year doing Adhesion Release treatments was slow. Most of the people I treated were family, friends, or acquaintances. I was treating them to not only practice my skills but also to create content for social media.
My two biggest roadblocks early on were location and exposure. I first started treatments out of my house in Eudora. Eudora is a small town and probably isn’t well known in the Kansas City Metro area. Also, most people would rather come to an office for treatment rather than a house. For the exposure, I just needed to create more content for social media so people knew I existed. The issue was I could not create treatment videos if I didn’t Have anyone to treat.
The location I treat people at now (District One Athletics) in Overland Park, KS is all thanks to networking. The owners of that gym are alumni of Baker University and played football. I also played football at Baker University and one of the first individuals I treated was a teammate. He helped me think of other people that could benefit from this treatment which lead me to reaching out to Ki’anie Brooks one of the owners of District One Athletics. I originally was reaching out to see if Ki’anie would be interested in treatment and making content and it lead to finding a place to treat people in a great location.
Exposure has gotten better thanks to constantly creating informational content for social media and through training with Dr. Chris Stepien and other Adhesion Release Methods providers. The trainings have allowed me to be put on https://findanadhesionprovider.com/ which is a website that lists all of the providers and where they are located.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Heartland Soft Tissue Therapy LLC?
Heartland Soft Tissue Therapy LLC treats chronic unresolved injuries or musculoskeletal pain in the neck, shoulders, low back, and hips caused by adhesions. Adhesions act like glue in soft tissue and can keep muscles, fascia, and nerves from moving correctly. They can be overlooked in different modalities of manual therapy, but with precise techniques adhesions can be reduced or eliminated. This can restore proper muscle function by increasing range of motion and relieving musculoskeletal pain. I am the only provider in Kansas that treats chronic pain caused by adhesions. Individuals that I treat are between the ages of 30 and 60, have been dealing with pain for over 6 months, and have tried 3 different modalities of treatment.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
There are a couple of people that deserve credit for where I am at right now. First I’d like to acknowledge my wife Erin. She has been the biggest supporter since I started this business. She is always there to encourage me and is understanding of the long hours I’ve spent on the business in order to grow it. My parents have also been big supporters and I’m grateful they raised my brothers and I to have great work ethics and strong moral values.
Lujene Clark (Clinical Neuromuscular Associates, LLC), Dr. Matt Maggio (Peak Injury Solutions), Dr. Chris Stepien (Barefoot Rehabilitation Clinic), and Dr. Cody Scharf (Thrive Care: Chronic Pain Solutions) are the individuals that have helped me progress and grow in my entrepreneurial journey. Each one has played a specific role in my growth through, mentorship, business coaching, and trainings.
