Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiersten Grisham.
Hi Kiersten, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey all started roughly two years ago , I graduated from high school in 2019, from there I went to college and finished with an associates degree in general education!! During this time I was waitressing at a local restaurant with ambitions of being a personal trainer . After I had finished school , I decided to go into management at my work place and was devoted to that for a year . As the days went on I continually contemplated on what I wanted to do with my career knowing that I destined for better ! One day I was scrolling and I really dived deep into the beauty media streaming on all social platforms . Finally I decided to take a leap into the beauty industry and wanted to learn how to do nails . Well the school on went to told me to do the esthetician program first to promote myself better in the industry before approaching a nail tech license. So I moved forward received my Esthetician certification and went into lashes directly out of school . I worked for a cooperate business and gained my skill and knowledge for a year while working during the day and waitressing at night . From there I decided to do the most scariest thing ever and that was going solo !! I was very nervous but told my self there is no better time than now . So I made the jump and now I have been successfully in the same spot for a little over two years . While I did all the transitions I always maintained working two jobs . Within the last month I decided to go back to school to conquer my nail technology certification to follow my endless list of dreams and be the best beauty boss babe out there !!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
During the road of learning . I have been maintaining my finances through working my life away and hustling day in and day out. I think by now I have mastered time management but on some days it’s rocky . For the past years I have had two jobs while making time for family, friends, and clients . Life is hard and always continues . Through everything I manage to wake up at 5:30 am go to the gym , 9:00 am be at school . 1:30 to 3pm I focus on clients for that day and then I shoot to my waitress job at 4 until 10pm . Do that for five days a week and still maintain a social life .
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a liscense esthetician and will be a licensed nail tech in feburary of 2026 !! I offer everything facial , lashes, and waxing !!! My specialty is all things lashes from classics to hybrid to volume extensions . I also offer lash lift and tints !! I am known for facials and lashes in my small little town and I’m excited for what is to come !! The part of my journey that I am most proud of is how far I have come and how far I will go . What sets me apart from others is I choose to help others feel beautiful in their own skin . I want each and every person that comes to me to feel happy , confident , and relaxed . My work ethic is like no other person I have met and i am proud to say I will do all I can to make my clients feeling amazing everytime they leave my chair
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I have learned along the way is to be patient ! Building a business and clientele from scratch is a mental strain on the head , heart, and soul, you have got to truly want it and if you do , the sky is the limit and you will make it work no matter what
