Hi Kerri, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve been a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 13 years, with most of my experience in family practice and walk-in clinics. Like many in healthcare, the COVID era pushed me to reevaluate my path. I began feeling burned out—the traditional healthcare model no longer aligned with my passion for prevention, wellness, and truly personalized care.

After going through my own personal weight loss journey, I started offering weight loss support and aesthetic services on the side. What began as a side passion quickly became something more—I dove in full time and never looked back.

That’s when an opportunity came my way: to take over Transformations Wellness Spa, which at the time only offered colon hydrotherapy. I hadn’t planned on owning a business—in fact, I had never considered it. But after a lot of prayer and reflection, it became clear that every door was opening for a reason. I felt deeply called to step into this new chapter, and once I did, I hit the ground running. Today, I’m incredibly grateful to lead a business that reflects my values, alongside an amazing team, in a location I love. Helping people feel better—inside and out—is truly my purpose.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would say it’s been a mix of blessings and challenges. I’ve definitely seen God’s hand in every part of this journey, and I feel incredibly fortunate. But no, it hasn’t been easy. From day one, I was in full-on fight-or-flight mode—jumping into ownership, building a brand, learning business operations on the fly—all while staying true to my mission. It’s been a whirlwind, but every struggle has shaped me and deepened my commitment.

Transformations Wellness Spa is more than a med spa—it’s a place of healing, growth, and transformation. We offer a wide range of services including:

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Absolutely—buying a business that only offered colon hydrotherapy and choosing to expand it with my own services was a huge risk. I left the security of full-time family practice and jumped into business ownership with zero background in entrepreneurship. It was terrifying—but I knew in my heart that it was part of a bigger plan. I believed in the vision, and I believed in myself.

Risk is scary, but I truly believe the greatest growth happens when you step into the unknown with faith. If you feel called to do something—do it scared, do it imperfectly, but don’t let fear hold you back. There’s beauty on the other side of the leap.
