Hi Ken, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been in the cosmetology industry for over 17 years. My wife is a nurse. We are focusing on safety, sanitization, quality and ethical beauty.

It was a little bit challenging to start a beauty business during the pandemic. However, after all my years of experience and researching, we figured out the malpractices and the unsanitary which causes the cross contamination and infection. Our custom model spa chairs with disposable jets help us to save sanitation time and promote safety between each service.

Besides, while delivering the high quality of services to our amazing clients, we ensure that our employees receive the fair pay and safe working environment. Your interest will support our mission toward ethical beauty business and contribute to redefine ethical salon practices.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This pandemic is killing small businesses in the area. We had to make sure that our decisions were correct and met our start up budget. It took a lot of researches to target the quality and local needs.

We’ve been impressed with Uniq Nails and Spa, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Uniq Nails and Spa is locally owned beauty salon. We are focusing on nails, spa and nail art. We are proud to utilize the latest custom pedicure spa chairs which have disposable jets to decrease the cleaning time and prevent cross-contamination. Our gel/ dip and dap powder products that we are using for services are odorless, lightweight, durable, vitamin added and no MMA. We are also specialized in manicure, pedicure, dipping power, acrylic, gel/shellac, and waxing service.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I am happy that I could provide my artistic skill to serve the community and create a relaxing environment. I am also grateful to support local frontline workers with my business during the pandemic.
