Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr Brad Woodle DC, CCPS, FASA, CSCS.
Hi Dr Brad, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
As a young boy growing up in a smaller town in northwest Iowa, I had a big dream. My mom was a dedicated teacher, and my dad was a hardworking automotive machinist. I watched them give their all to provide a great life for me and my two brothers. Their jobs were both physically demanding and mentally stressful, which often brought them to the chiropractor. From a young age, I got to witness the magic of natural healthcare firsthand—and that experience sparked something in me.
Fast forward many years: after earning my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Northern Iowa and then completing my Doctorate of Chiropractic and certification in Acupuncture from Northwestern Health Sciences University, I took a leap of faith and moved to Overland Park, Kansas to join a group practice.
Being part of that group practice taught me a great deal, and many year there I was ready to take the next step in my dream. That’s when I opened Advanced Sports & Family Chiropractic. My vision was to bring together traditional and natural techniques—chiropractic, acupuncture, and physical therapies—and combine them with modern technologies, such as class 4 lasers, disc decompression, and red light therapies (to name a few) all under one roof.
The energy behind the dream was contagious. I began to build a team, growing from just one doctor and two staff members into what is now eight locations across Kansas City with a team of 22 elite doctors. One of the most special parts of this journey was inspiring my wife, Christina—then a radiologic technologist at CenterPoint Hospital and a professor at Avila University—to follow her own path and become a Doctor of Chiropractic. The excitement didn’t stop there. A few years later, my youngest brother Drew was also inspired to go back to school and become a chiropractor himself.
Currently I still see my patients two days a week, because I love it, and the rest of my week is spent inspiring and mentoring my partner doctors and team to give the best care in the area.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road always seems smooth from the outside looking in—but the truth is, it’s the mountains and valleys that shape who you are. Our journey has definitely had its challenges.
Over the years, we’ve seen major shifts in how chiropractic and acupuncture are perceived—not just by the public, but also by insurance companies and the healthcare system as a whole. Despite those shifts, one thing has never changed: our commitment to our patients’ health and wellness. We’ve always focused on finding the most effective, results-driven, and cost-conscious solutions for our patients. Even though we’re in-network providers with nearly all major insurance companies, we never let that dictate care—we recommend what’s best for the patient and then work to make it accessible.
Then came the COVID years—definitely one of the most challenging times we’ve faced. In the beginning, it felt like chaos, with endless new regulations and constant uncertainty. But as chiropractors were deemed essential providers, we stepped in to support patients dealing with neuromusculoskeletal issues who couldn’t go elsewhere. It was tough, but it was also an opportunity to serve in a powerful way.
What followed was actually a silver lining. That strange and difficult time sparked a new awareness in the public—people became more proactive about their health, posture, mental and physical well-being, and even nutrition. That shift aligned perfectly with our mission and reignited our passion to continue growing and evolving to serve our communities even better.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Advanced Sports & Family Chiropractic + Acupuncture, our mission has always been to help people live healthier, pain-free lives by blending the best of traditional and modern care—all under one roof. We specialize in chiropractic care, acupuncture, physical therapy, and rehab, and we’re proud to offer a truly integrated approach that addresses the whole person, not just the symptoms.
What sets us apart is our commitment to combining time-tested, natural healing methods with cutting-edge technology. Whether it’s helping athletes recover faster, families stay active and well, or individuals find lasting relief from chronic pain, we design care plans that are personalized, results-driven, and based on real evidence.
Our clinics are built to feel welcoming and supportive, and our team is our greatest strength. We’ve grown from one location to eight across Kansas City, with a passionate team of 22 doctors and dedicated staff who share the same vision: to provide the highest quality care with compassion, integrity, and innovation.
We’re proud to have earned the “5 Star Service Award” from Integrity Doctors for 15 consecutive years, a reflection of our consistency in delivering top-tier care and patient experience. In addition, many of our individual doctors have received local honors and awards, recognizing both their clinical expertise and impact within their communities.
We’ve worked hard to create a brand that stands for hope, healing, and progress. Our goal is for every patient—whether it’s their first visit or their hundredth—to feel seen, heard, and truly cared for.
At the end of the day, we’re not just helping people get out of pain—we’re helping them get back to doing what they love, and keeping them well through prevention and that’s what drives everything we do.
What matters most to you?
As the Director of Advanced Sports and Family Chiropractic and Acupuncture, I often reflect on what truly matters in the work we do every day. The answer, without hesitation, is simple: our patients. Every decision we make, every treatment we recommend, and every moment we spend in care is guided by a commitment to four key priorities — patient happiness, satisfaction, measurable results, and a long-term plan for wellness and prevention.
Patient Happiness Comes First
Health is personal. It affects how people feel, move, and live each day. That’s why we place so much importance on creating an environment where patients feel heard, valued, and cared for. From the moment someone walks into our clinic, our goal is to foster a positive, uplifting experience. We know that healing isn’t just physical — it’s emotional and mental too. If our patients leave with a smile, feeling better than when they walked in, we know we’re doing something right.
Satisfaction Beyond the Surface
Patient satisfaction goes deeper than a friendly hello or a comfortable waiting room. It’s about trust. It’s about knowing you’re in good hands — that your concerns are being addressed and your goals are being prioritized. We strive to not only meet expectations but to exceed them. Whether it’s through clear communication, customized treatment plans, or attentive follow-up, we want every patient to feel confident that they made the right choice in coming to us.
Results That Speak for Themselves
Our passion lies in helping people get real, lasting results. That means pain relief, improved mobility, faster recovery from injury, better performance in sports, and more energy in daily life. Our multidisciplinary approach — blending chiropractic care, acupuncture, and rehabilitative strategies — allows us to tailor solutions that work. When patients see tangible improvements, when they regain control over their health, it’s incredibly rewarding for us as a team.
A Long-Term Vision for Wellness and Prevention
While we take pride in helping patients heal, we’re even more invested in keeping them well. Health shouldn’t be reactive — it should be proactive. Our goal is to build long-term wellness plans that support a lifetime of movement, strength, and vitality. Through education, lifestyle recommendations, maintenance care, and prevention strategies, we empower patients to not only recover but to thrive.
At the heart of everything we do is a deep sense of purpose — to help people live their best, healthiest lives. That’s what matters most to me. And it’s what drives every decision we make at Advanced Sports and Family Chiropractic and Acupuncture.
