Hi David, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After spending 20 years in the executive suites business, we decided to open our first co-working location in 2016 in Overland Park Kansas. We call it ecafé and it combines a state-of-the-art coworking center with a vibrant coffee house to create the ultimate workplace. Perfect for mobile workers and home-based professionals. We offer fully-equipped meeting rooms, high-speed internet, mailboxes, personal lockers, postal services, and a complete supply of office products.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We originally operated the coffee shop but Scooter’s was interested in running the coffee shop so we brought them in three years ago. The pandemic shut down a lot of our meeting room business but now we are back to full speed as people are anxious to meet in person again.

Monthly memberships give you unlimited access to the coworking center and include free conference and meeting room hours along with priority scheduling. If you just need to use the cowork center on an occasional basis, we offer day passes for as little at $10/day.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
People are more interested in remote working and coworking can be a great solution if you need space to meet with customers and employees. If you tire of working from home, you can drop in when you need a change in scenery.
