Community Highlights: Meet Dan Nash of Human Trafficking Training Center

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dan Nash.

Dan Nash

Hi Dan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I founded the Human Trafficking Training Center after retiring from law enforcement and realizing that we are not adequately identifying and investigating human trafficking and, more so, law enforcement is either receiving improper training or, in most circumstances, no training in human trafficking.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Is there a smooth road? Most of the speed bumps along the way have to do with trying to create a paradigm shift in the mindset of others about trafficking and dealing with the egos and bureaucracy that is the government.

As you know, we’re big fans of the Human Trafficking Training Center. What can you tell our readers who might not be as familiar with the brand?
The Human Trafficking Training Center was created to fill the void that is either improper or no training in the identification and investigation of human trafficking in America. The HTTC provides skills-based human trafficking training to officers around North America and the world, which allows officers to utilize these new skills by identifying victims and arresting traffickers. Without proper training, law enforcement will do nothing as they do not know what to do. We are most pr0ud that we are making a difference in the world as just in 2023, we have trained 4712 officers who have left our training and identified 208 trafficking victims, with the quickest being 5 hours and 15 minutes after leaving the training and the youngest being 11 years of age.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I am a big proponent of mindset and growth, so I listen to podcasts and read books by Tony Robbins, Heather Hakes, Joe Dispenza, and Tara Swart.
