Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheyanne Scott
Hi Cheyanne, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When I graduated high school, I enrolled at UMKC to study chemistry, hoping to work directly with patients in a hospital setting. I loved chemistry and was fortunate to be accepted into a highly competitive program. However, one day, one of my professors suggested I pursue something more creative and less clinical. After reflecting on his advice, I decided to leave the program. I spent the next few years exploring different jobs, eventually working at a high-end salon and spa. My colleagues affectionately called me the “client whisperer,” and clients often told me I was working on the wrong side of the front desk. Inspired by their feedback, I decided to return to school for esthetics. When I was in esthetics school, my passion for chemistry reignited when I began studying the chemical reactions and properties of skincare and cosmetic ingredients. During esthetics school, I worked with over 200 individual clients, which motivated me to start my own business right after graduation instead of working in another commission-based salon. Now, after over a year in business, I couldn’t be happier with the path I’ve chosen.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest struggles I’ve faced has been dealing with imposter syndrome. Starting my own business, especially right after school, was terrifying. It’s a huge leap, and the pressure of making it work, especially when you don’t have a clear roadmap, can be overwhelming. You’re always balancing self-doubt with the fear of failure. But despite those fears and struggles, it’s also been a journey of growth. What has truly made it worth it are my clients. Seeing their reactions, knowing that I’m helping them and making them feel great, and building those connections has made all the hard moments and struggles worthwhile. Their support has given me the confidence to keep pushing forward and to believe in myself even when I’ve felt unsure. While it’s been a bumpy road, the people I’ve met along the way have been a constant reminder of why I started this journey in the first place.

The pressure applied, the temperature, and the energy of the person touching you all have a profound impact. Siddhi Skin KC is meant to be a sanctuary where healing can take place in whatever form it’s needed.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was definitely an old soul and had a hard time relating to what most kids my age were into. My love for theater, art, and music was a huge part of my world. We didn’t have much money growing up, which taught me to be resourceful. I had to learn how to do my own beauty services, like cutting and dying my own hair or experimenting with makeup and skincare, out of necessity, but it also became a form of creative expression for me. Even though I didn’t have a lot of material things, I always found beauty in the simple things—like spending time with my dogs or getting lost in music or the outdoors. Those experiences shaped me into someone who values creativity, self-reliance, and everyday joys.
