Community Highlights: Meet Antonia Andrews of Zenful Sparks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonia Andrews.

Antonia Andrews

Hi Antonia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story is one of listening to the “sparks” within—those small, intuitive nudges that tell us there is a deeper way to heal, connect, and live.

I’ve always been drawn to the holistic arts, but my journey to where I am today truly solidified through my practice as a Reiki Master and Sound Healer. For years, I focused on the individual experience: how a single session of energy work, the vibration of a singing bowl, or the warmth of a PEMF healing mat could shift someone’s entire frequency. I saw firsthand how much the people of Kansas City were longing for a sanctuary—a place to unplug from the noise of downtown and plug back into themselves. All this has lead me to a new modality on which Im currently receiving training – Biodynamic Breathwork Trauma Release System. Stay tuned to my website and socials to learn more about this and how using your breath can help you to heal more deeply than you ever thought possible.

However, as my practice grew, I realized that “healing” isn’t just a solo mission; it’s a communal one. I began to see a gap in our local wellness landscape. There were many incredible practitioners—herbalists, mediums, energy workers—who needed a sacred, professional, and intentional space to offer their gifts.

That’s how Zenful Sparks evolved from a personal practice into a dedicated studio and collective space. I wanted to create a vessel not just for my own work, but for other practitioners like Julie Larson (Jules), whose herbalism and shadow-work complement the energy clearing I do.

The name “Zenful Sparks” comes from the belief that “the spark within me bows to the spark within you.” It’s about recognizing that divine light in every client who walks through the doors of our studio at The Manhattan Condos.

Today, Zenful Sparks has grown beyond the four walls of our Kansas City studio. I am now at a place where I am co-facilitating international healing experiences, such as the “Restore Your Mind & Body” retreat in Bali for 2026. Looking back, the journey has been about following those internal sparks of inspiration and having the courage to build a fire that others can gather around. Whether I’m working with someone locally in KCMO or preparing for a retreat halfway across the world, my mission remains the same: creating a space for divine transformation.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To say it has been a smooth road would be a bit of a “spiritual bypass!” Like any entrepreneur, I’ve had my share of bumps, but in the wellness industry, those challenges are often deeply personal.

One of the biggest hurdles early on was finding clarity. When you work with energy, sound, and intuition, it can be difficult to translate those “unseen” benefits into a business model that makes sense to everyone. I had to learn how to bridge the gap between the mystical work I do—like dowsing or energy shifting—and the practical needs of my clients who are just looking for a way to manage the stress of modern life.

Transitioning from a solo practitioner to a “space holder” for other practitioners at Zenful Sparks was another steep learning curve. It’s one thing to manage your own energy; it’s another to curate a harmonious environment where multiple healers can flourish. Ensuring that the vibe of the studio remains pristine while managing the logistics of a downtown KC location—like security and parking—takes a lot of “grounded” effort that people don’t see behind the scenes.

Taking the leap into international retreats, like our upcoming Bali 2026 trip, has also been a lesson in trust. It requires a massive amount of vulnerability to put yourself out there on a global scale. There were moments of “imposter syndrome” where I wondered if a girl from KC could really co-facilitate a life-changing experience across the world. But every time I hit a snag, I realized it was just an invitation to practice exactly what I teach: staying centered, trusting the timing, and keeping my own “spark” lit.

Perhaps the most relatable struggle is the balance. As a Reiki Master, people expect you to be “Zen” 24/7. But the reality is that I’m also a business owner who has to handle spreadsheets, marketing, and taxes. All this while working a full-time job in Corporate America; a job which I am lucky to enjoy and to have pay the bills as my passion project lifts off! Learning to find the “Zenful” in the “Hustle” has been my greatest personal growth project.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Zenful Sparks: A Sanctuary in the City. Zenful Sparks is more than just a wellness studio; it is a dedicated sanctuary located in the heart of Downtown Kansas City at The Manhattan Condos. We offer a high-vibration space designed for deep energetic restoration. While it is the home base for my practice, it’s also a collaborative hub where I host other gifted holistic practitioners to provide a well-rounded, soul-level healing experience.

I am known for an “integrative” approach to energy work. I specialize in Reiki and Sound Healing, but what makes a session at Zenful Sparks unique is the technology we weave in. Every client experiences our specialized Healing Mat, which combines four powerful therapies at once: PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy), Far-Infrared, Negative Ion, and Hot Stone therapy.

I am also becoming known for my curated retreat experiences. I don’t just offer local sessions; I co-facilitate deep-dive transformations, such as our upcoming Restore Your Mind & Body retreat in Bali for 2026. I specialize in taking people out of their daily “hustle” and placing them in environments where they can truly hear their own inner voice again.

What sets us apart is the “Sparks Collective” mentality. Most studios are either a clinic or a single practitioner’s office. Zenful Sparks is a bridge. We combine ancient wisdom (like Tibetan singing bowls and dowsing rods) with modern wellness tech (like PEMF) in a high-security, luxury downtown setting. We also pride ourselves on accessibility; I believe healing should be available to everyone, which is why I offer donation-based sessions for those experiencing financial hardship. If we don’t offer the modality that fits your needs, we are connected with many vetted holistic practitioners locally and online and will refer you to one of our trusted partners. We aren’t just a business; we are a community support system.

I am most proud of the trust we’ve built within the Kansas City community. When people see the “Zenful Sparks” name, they know they are entering a judgment-free, sacred space. I’m also incredibly proud of our growth—moving from local 1-on-1 sessions to sponsoring community events like the Aizen Root Remedy Toy Drive, collaborating with Enlighten Healing Arts and Living with Intention, and now expanding into international facilitation. My brand stands for the “spark” in everyone, and seeing that spark reignite in a client is my greatest achievement.

I want readers to know that you don’t have to be “spiritual” to benefit from what we do. Whether you are looking for a psychic medium reading with Jules, a sound bath to quiet a stressed mind, or a life-changing retreat in Bali, we have a seat for you. We are By Appointment Only to ensure every client gets our undivided energy and a private, peaceful experience.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I am a firm believer that to be a great practitioner, you must always remain a student. My personal “toolkit” is a mix of high-vibration spiritual wisdom and very practical business tools.

Books that Shifted My Perspective:

“Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender” by David R. Hawkins: This book is a cornerstone of my personal and professional philosophy. In my sessions at Zenful Sparks, we work on clearing emotional blocks, and Dr. Hawkins’ Map of Consciousness provides such a clear framework for how we can let go of lower frequencies like fear or guilt to reach our natural state of peace and joy.

“The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle: This is a classic for a reason. It’s the foundation of how I hold space at Zenful Sparks—teaching me that the only place healing truly happens is in the present moment.

“Becoming Supernatural” by Dr. Joe Dispenza: This book is a staple for me because it bridges the gap between science and the “woo.” It explains the why behind the energy work I do, which helps me explain it to more skeptical clients.

Podcasts on my Playlist:

“Know Thyself” (hosted by Eduardo and Daniel): This is one of my deepest resources for investigating the universal principles of self-knowledge. I love their dedication to exploring “Light Mystery School Traditions,” including Natural Law, Alchemy, The Occult, and Hermeticism. It provides a profound look at the “Hero’s Journey” we are all on and how ancient archetypes like the Tarot mirror our own souls.

“Intuitive Astrology with Molly McCord”: I listen to Molly for a higher perspective on the energetic “weather.” It helps me understand the collective shifts my clients are feeling and allows me to align my sessions (and our international retreats) with current cosmic cycles.

“The Telepathy Tapes” (hosted by Ky Dickens): This podcast is fascinating because it explores the origins of consciousness and the unexplained abilities of the mind. It mirrors much of what I see in my energy work—that we are all connected through a field of information that goes far beyond spoken words.

Daily Practices & Apps:

Insight Timer: This is my go-to for my own meditation and for finding new sound healing frequencies.

The “Unplugged” Ritual: Honestly, one of my best resources isn’t an app—it’s the absence of one. I make it a point to spend time in nature (even just a walk in downtown KC) without my phone. That “silence” is where my best ideas for Zenful Sparks and our Bali retreats are born.
