Community Highlights: Meet Angie of Owl-R-Junk Boutique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie.

Hi Angie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My little adventure started out if my home repurposing furniture. When the opportunity presented itself I opened my store front in Downtown Bonner Springs, Ks. I loved my little boutique and the community. I was open for almost 9 years. My children started having babies and I decided I wanted to slow down and enjoy life so I closed my storefront in the fall of 2024. I still have my online store and social media plus you can find me on Etsy and inside of KC Style Haus on the country club plaza.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I feel like retail is never a smooth road but I have no complaints. It’s always a roller coaster but that’s what kept me going.

We’ve been impressed with Owl-R-Junk Boutique , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are what I like to call a one stop shop. We have something for everyone. We sell clothing, home decor, accessories, baby items and giftables. One of my favorite features of our boutique is our custom trucker hat bar. We do pop up and private events. You can create and make your own one of a kind trucker hat.
Great for a birthday party, bachelorette party and more

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My family and friends are most important to me. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for them. I had so much help and support along the way. No matter what was needed they were there and willing to help me.
