Claire Tuck on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Claire Tuck. Check out our conversation below.

Claire, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, I’ve been finding so much joy in time with friends and loved ones this summer! Especially spending sunny days at the lake with my family. I’ve really cherished those moments of connection and laughter. And now, I’m excited knowing that fall is just around the corner, it’s one of my favorite seasons!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Claire Tuck, and I’m the owner and lead planner of Perfectly Planned Events Co. I genuinely believe I have the best job in the world by helping couples create the wedding day they’ve always dreamed of. Some come to me with a vision they’ve been imagining for years, while others are just starting to explore what they want. No matter where we begin, it’s such a joy to walk alongside them, always sharing laughs, swapping ideas, and watching their vision take shape.

People often ask me, “What’s the moment you live for on a wedding day?” My answer? All of it! When all the months of planning finally come together, and I get to see my couples’ faces light up with happiness as they soak in a day that feels perfectly theirs, nothing can top that!

I always tell my couples, think of me as part best friend, part cheerleader, part problem-solver and yes, the one who’s ready to pop the champagne at just the right time! My goal is to make the process fun, stress-free, and completely personalized, so the day truly reflects who you are. Helping people and celebrating love has always been one of my greatest passions, and being able to create meaningful, joy filled memories with my couples is something I’ll never take for granted.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My parents, without a doubt! They’ve always been my biggest supporters, and I’m endlessly grateful for the way they’ve encouraged me and pushed me to pursue my passions.

My love for planning began long before I ever thought about weddings, back when I was the one helping my mom put together family vacations, holiday celebrations, and gatherings with friends. I found so much satisfaction in making lists, thinking through every little detail, and watching everything come to life. Looking back, I can see now that those moments were shaping the path toward the career I adore today!

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self to be patient and trust the journey. Even when things feel uncertain or overwhelming, every step is shaping who you’re meant to be. Don’t rush to have it all figured out, embrace the learning, the mistakes, and the growth. Most importantly, believe in yourself and your dreams, because you are capable of more than you realize!

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest myths the wedding industry tells is that bigger and more extravagant weddings always equal better. There’s this constant pressure to have the ‘perfect’ day defined by trends or expensive details, when in reality, the most meaningful weddings are those that truly reflect the couple’s unique story and values! Another misconception is that planning a wedding has to be stressful or overwhelming. When it really should be an enjoyable journey filled with excitement and connection. At the end of the day, it’s about love and celebration, not perfection or comparison!

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What will you regret not doing?
I think I’d regret not fully embracing the moments that matter. The little, everyday joys and the big milestones alike. In this day and age, it’s so easy to get caught up in screens, trends, and constant distractions. That’s why it’s important to keep reminding yourself to slow down and truly savor the day-to-day moments. I want to stay present, cherishing time with loved ones and celebrate life as it happens instead of constantly worrying about what the next 5 to 10 years might hold. I’d also regret not taking more risks and trusting myself to pursue new opportunities when they come my way!
