Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Manning

Hi Taylor, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started back in 2017 when I created my natural beauty line, Monteils Skincare & Aromatherapy. From vendor markets to networking events, I was able to form meaningful relationships with other business owners. I always knew I wanted to do something on a grander scale but it hadn’t quite come to me over the years. In 2023 I had an immense dream and woke up with a mission from God. I needed to bring like-minded businesses together that believe in servicing and healing the community. In 2024, House of Healing was born!

House of Healing is the first black owned, woman-led holistic health and wellness retail store. We offer products for all your health needs such as personal care, vitamins, herbs, tinctures, medicines, teas, beauty products for head to toe, baby & kids, and diet & nutrition. We have events that educate the community about gardening, health issues and solutions, DIY projects, body positivity workshops, and more! We are important to the community because we offer the original solution to healing.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When I stayed the course of my journey everything remained smooth, honestly. I was able to take my time with each step and not experience too much stress. The biggest struggle was finding the right season to open shop. The moment I disobeyed God’s order I experienced complications so I followed His instructions and everything turned out better than expected.
