Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Mason.
Hi Sabrina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
For as long as I can remember, I was always creative . My family has a history of artists. My mom could sketch anything. She always told me to draw what you see and not of what’s it’s supposed to look like. She could also sing a good tune. My dad was the same way. He would practice his doodles or draw certain animations while teaching his children about music. Once I got older and life hit hard , I realized that I am here to make the world a more colorful place. From having two handsome boys and with my father’s passing, I use my energy to spread kindness and love in the small time I have here.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Even with passion and talents, you will still receive no . During this journey, I have experienced so many nos to where I appreciate the yeses.I had to continue my crafts and understand that those doors closed was a detour to better opportunities. I love everything I create even if no one else does because it is a part of the authentic me.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
During this time, I am perfecting my skills in yoga and nutrition, so I can help others in different ways. Health is so important for a vital life. If you are healthy emotionally, physically, mentally, etc. you will then have the space and capacity to create your own definition of art.
As I am growing as a multi-media artist, Lutfi’s Fish in North Kansas City and Angie’s International Kitchen in Kansas City Missouri gave me the yes on some of my biggest projects so far. I am forever grateful and I am so excited for the future projects ahead.
How do you define success?
Success is the moment you sit back, relax, and meditate on your life experiences and truly say you are happy. Everyone has their own definition of success. For me, success is when my sons are older gentlemen with their own families and they’ve become respectable and kind. My “I made it” moment will be when they come visit me for dinner at my house with my art studio and my fresh garden outside that anyone in the neighborhood can come by and eat from. My success is the ability to bless others as I live comfortably within myself.
