Check Out Ryan Hundley’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Hundley.

Hi Ryan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In my younger years, roughly 13, I had a family friend that was a tattooer and would hang out at the shop all the time. I ended up working in various tattoo shops around the city and was hazed quite a bit at the first store. I ended up working at another shop and started building up an inventory and really just got sick of working in tattoo shops and being the oversight of the store.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has been smooth. I have such a rad clientele that I’ve built up these last 15 years and they have been so supportive. The biggest struggles always end up being the smallest things that you don’t know about. Like the day after opening the motion sensor went off from a balloon that was in the shop that was a congratulations gift fand the security company called me. I was freaking out and drove 120mph down 291 to the shop to meet a police officer that had already gone around the building and noticed what set it off. Come to find out, I didn’t have an alarm permit and it ended up only being 20 dollars, lol.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Over the years, we have built such a close relationship with our vendors. Mainly BVLA and Gorilla Glass. When opening, BVLA fronted up quite a bit of jewelry to built off of our already current collection. It helped tremendously and we were able to pay them off in 30 days which is amazing! We continue to have one of the largest BVLA collections I’ve ever seen in one store at once and most definitely the largest gold body jewelry selection in our area! I really love helping people update their looks. Ten years ago we didn’t have the classy stuff we do now. 🙂

Pricing:

  • We charge a 30 dollar piercing fee then add the jewelry on after that. Finally pricing really just depends on the piece you pick out. We encourage all of our customers to come on into our store and let us walk them through our ever evolving selection.
