Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicolas Miller

Nicolas, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have always been intrigued by the creativity and expression that photography allows. In 2021 I began just doing iPhone photoshoots with friends just as a personal hobby and as something that allowed for me to wear fun outfits and express myself. As time went on I was able to build a community and become friends with some photographers throughout the Kansas City area. Upon making these friends, photoshoots went from an impromptu iPhone photoshoot, to assisting on sets, shooting BTS, and modeling as well. As I learned more and watched my incredibly talented friends flourish I felt even more drawn to photography. Although I had the passion I did not have the equipment to pursue this passion up until this past holiday season when I was gifted my first camera. Since then I have started my photography business and began trying to learn all things photography.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am new to being behind my own camera, so thus far it has been a fairly smooth road. However, I will say that with being new there is a lot of learning and growth opportunities that come with the territory of starting your own business and learning an art form from a new perspective.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Outside of photography, my 9-5 is working for at a website building company and doing digital marketing for partners as their account manager and SEO specialist! I’ve been in the digital marketing space for two years now and it’s a fun world to live in because as trends in the real world change so does our work. It makes for a exciting atmosphere and allows for a lot of learning and growth and allows for me personally to never feel bored or burnt out.
